I am looking for a villa resort for a family vacation for 7. Which one is the closest to Magic Kingdom?

    Hi Kristie,

The new Bay Lake Tower (behind the Contemporary Resort) is the closest Disney Vacation Club Property to the Magic Kingdom.  I had an opportunity to tour Bay Lake about a month ago and was absolutely blown away.  It is truly a one-of-a-kind, magnificent resort.  I toured a villa with a view of Magic Kingdom and was amazed.  The decor is very modern, and reminded me of living in a chic New York apartment, except rather than overlooking Central Park, I was looking at Cinderella Castle!   If you chose to stay at Bay Lake, you will be able to get to the Magic Kingdom via monorail or a short walkway from the Contemporary Resort to the park.  Since the resort is on the monorail line, the restaurants at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian are very easy to get to, and a great choice while on vacation.

The Villas at Wilderness Lodge is also extremely close to the Magic Kingdom.  To get to the park from this property, you would take a short boat launch.  Wilderness Lodge is reminiscent of some of our nation's most beautiful national parks.  There's even a "Disney version" of Old Faithful Geyser!  Artist Point and Whispering Canyons Cafe are both fabulous table service restaurants, and the pool is well-themed, with a great slide.

    Have a wonderful trip!
