Looking to understand what snacks are safe for tree nut allergy while in the parks. Do you have sharable info on the quick but also specialty desserts that make the Disney experience ? Ie Mickey ice cream, dole whip, churros, waffles, etc.

Welcome to planDisney Victoria! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. I’d love to help you explore the wonderful world of snacks and sweet treats, especially when it comes to finding safe options for Guests with tree nut allergies. Disney does an incredible job of blending magic with care, and there are plenty of iconic favorites and specialty desserts you can enjoy with peace of mind during your visit.

Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bars are a safe and iconic option, and you’ll find them at carts throughout the parks. Another fan favorite that is tree nut free is the famous Dole Whip, especially the classic pineapple soft serve that you can pick up at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom or Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Churros, coated in warm cinnamon sugar, are another snack that guests with tree nut allergies often enjoy, and they can be found at snack carts and locations like Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café. If you’re craving something savory but still fun, Mickey Pretzels are also considered a safe choice and are available in all four parks. For a refreshing option, pre-packaged frozen fruit bars are a great tree nut–free treat.

While these favorites are generally safe, it’s always important to double check each location. All table service and select quick-service restaurants offer a menu with allergen information, and our buffets provide a guide. These resources show what menu items are made without the allergens the US FDA considers most common (eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat) plus gluten. Cast Members are happy to walk you through the ingredients and preparation process. Because some areas, like Big Top Souvenirs in Magic Kingdom, actively roast nuts, you’ll also want to be mindful of cross-contact depending on your comfort level.

Victoria, I hope this helps you feel comfortable and excited about enjoying the wonderful world of Disney snacks while keeping tree nut safety in mind. With so many iconic treats to choose from, you’ll be able to indulge in the magic without worry and still create those sweet, unforgettable moments that make a Walt Disney World visit so special. Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question, and I’m wishing you a vacation filled with delicious bites, happy memories, and plenty of pixie dust along the way!
