Hello, Mary! It's wonderful to see you sail to planDisney with your question. Welcome!
Sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line on a
Transatlantic itinerary was our family's favorite cruise. It's SO much fun to spend two weeks sailing across the ocean, enjoying Disney Cruise Line entertainment and world-class service. I can't wait till we can do it again someday!
As it turns out, Transatlantic itineraries are a way for the ship to transition from offering itineraries in one part of the world to another. For example, this week the
Disney Dream will be leaving Florida to sail to Spain and will stay in Europe till mid-September, offering a variety of European itineraries for guests to enjoy throughout the summer. Unless you plan to spend all summer in Europe (sounds like a dream to me!), there is no way to hop on a Disney Cruise to immediately return to Florida.
When we sailed to Spain a couple of years ago, we decided to extend the vacation and explore some more of Europe. We live near Los Angeles and found the most budget-friendly option to return home was to actually fly from Paris to LA. We loved exploring Barcelona, London, and Paris before eventually making our way back home. While a Disney Cruise back home would be the most fun way to travel, we were happy with how everything worked out.
I hope you can make some exciting plans to explore the world via a Disney Cruise soon. If you have additional questions, please return to planDisney to ask. We'll be here for you!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
