We are looking to make our 1st trip to WDW with a 2 yr old. What is the best resort location in regards to being able to take a mid day nap. We are concerned with travel times from the parks to the resort and back again taking too long.

Hi Barry! Congratulations on planning your first trip to Walt Disney World Resort...the happiest place on the planet. As a Mom with 3 year-old twins, I know how important it is to take a break during the day to recharge and refresh and nothing does that better than naptime! My little ones are monsters without their afternoon nap.

In terms of closest proximity to Magic Kingdom, your best options are Disney's Grand Floridian, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Resort. All are monorail resorts, so you're just a quick comfortable ride away from Magic Kingdom Park. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a"funtastic" water play area and slide that's perfect for little ones! Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is just a short walk to Magic Kingdom Park. At Disney's Polynesian Resort, your little one will love the volcano shaped water slide and a beach play area.
