We’re looking into a trip near the end of the 70th Anniversary. Somewhere around August 1-7 2026. Will all of the 70th celebrations and merchandise etc still be going on? Including the parade with Duffy & Shelley Mae? Thank you!

Hi there, Jessica! Welcome back to planDisney. Your arrival date puts you right toward the big finale of Disneyland’s 70th Celebration. Let’s go ahead and take a look at all there is to do so you can celebrate Disneyland with a bang!

First off, you were speaking my language once I read Duffy and ShellieMay! Some of my favorite bears, right up there next to Winnie the Pooh. I’m always grinning from ear to ear whenever I see them pass by in the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade! While the calendar for the cavalcade currently only extends about six weeks in advance, keep checking the Entertainment Schedule and Disneyland app leading up for times to ensure that you can get a glimpse of this cute duo. It’s also good to note that the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade is subject to cancellation without notice due to weather or other circumstances. My fingers are crossed that you get to see Duffy and ShellieMay dancing away to the Jonas Brothers singing Celebrate Happy!

Since the kickoff of this celebration, merchandise has been all over the parks. I’ve noticed with each trip that you can often find sales and discounts on 70th Celebration merchandise. On my most recent visit this year, there was still quite a bit around, with a majority of it at World of Disney, most likely due to the size of the store. I’ve even found luck at my local Disney Store Outlet for merchandise, which is always cool to see! If you’re worried that a certain item may be sold out by the time of your arrival, fear not. There is still plenty available to purchase online at Disney Store. I purchased a pouch from Stoney Clover Lane last week and absolutely love the retro details, right down to the address on the front!

If you have a MagicBand+, be sure to pack it along with you! With the 70th Celebration, there are stations scattered around each land in Disneyland that you can scan with your MagicBand+ that gives you a little souvenir card to take home with you. My favorite card was the one by Autopia that mimicked a driving citation!

Jessica, thank you so much for visiting planDisney. You’re going to have such a magical time when you head to the parks to celebrate seven decades of Disneyland! If you have any more questions or need help planning, planDisney is always here for you.
