Hi! Looking at a trip late 2012 & possibly trying the Polynesian. It would be our first visit at a Deluxe resort. Traveling with my Mom and my 2 kids ages 8,14. Do all rooms at the Poly have a private balcony? Also, when was the most recent renovatio

    Aloha Jennifer,

While we have many favorite resorts at WDW, the Polynesian probably edges out just a bit above the rest as our favorite.  With its lush gardens, spacious rooms, and quietness, we always enjoy ourselves there. And how exciting to be visiting your first deluxe resort!

There are actually a few different room layouts within the resort, and some of the rooms do not have private balconies (essentially it is the rooms on the second floors that don't have one in some of the buildings/longhouses). All the rooms were renovated were last completed around 2006.

I'd encourage you to visit www.tikimanpages.com if you'd like to further research the resort.  And I'd love to help you with any more questions you may have about the resort, such as favorite buildings/longhouses, etc. Just click here to send a question my way.

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel.
