We are looking to travel to Florida for Walt Disney World in Septor Oct 2020 there will be 7 adults and 7 children i and we're looking for the best time of year to travel , less crowed parks. Last trip 2003. All info welcomed.

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Angie! It's so exciting that you're planning a trip for your family to Walt Disney World Resort. So much has changed since you last visited in 2003 and there is so much magic for you to discover. There will be even more brand new attractions, shows, and dining experiences that are opening up this year that you'll be able to try when you get there this fall, so let's chat about how you should start planning your upcoming trip!

The first thing you'll want to do is book your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, and that means deciding when you want to go. Fall is a great time to travel because the weather is starting to cool down and schools across the country are back in session which means that the Theme Parks are a little bit quieter than they are in the summer. If lower crowds are your priority I would also avoid any holiday weekends like Labor Day or Columbus Day. The basic rule of thumb is if people are off work or kids are off school, everyone wants to go to Magic Kingdom Park! Mid-September through mid-October would be my personal choice if I were planning my own vacation.

Another thing that's brand new since the last time you visited is My Disney Experience. It's your tool to make vacation planning simple and super convenient. Make sure to download the My Disney Experience app so you can use it to plan your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days in advance of your vacation, your advanced dining reservations up to 180 days in advance of your vacation, and much, much more! You can also link your admission and Resort Hotel reservations there so that you have all of your plans in one place.

I'm sure you'll have lots of questions in the next few months as you plan your trip, so please come back to ask us anything that crosses your mind before you go!
