"Hei Hei," Cassandra! Welcome to planDisney.
I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a magical trip to visit each of the theme parks! While I may not be
Moana of Motunui, inviting you to board my boat and sail across the sea to restore the heart of Te Fiti, I am a planDisney panelist who's thrilled to act as your "wayfinder" with tips and helpful advice so you can enjoy your epic, magical journey!
I completely understand wanting to make the most of each magical day in The Most Magical Place on Earth. Here are a few tips my family uses to maximize our experience and get the most value out of our trip.
Be sure to plan your meals in advance. If there is a restaurant on your must-do list, make your reservations 60 days in advance. Dining locations like
Be Our Guest Restaurant, Space 220 Restaurant, and my personal favorite,
Via Napoli, tend to book up quickly. One helpful tip on dining: don't forget about the
quick-service restaurants that offer
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. This feature is available on your My Disney Experience app, letting you order and pay for your food in advance so they can start preparing your order as you make your way to the restaurant. This is a great time-saver and helps you budget your trip, as quick-service restaurants are more cost-friendly.
Remember that it's okay to take breaks. Four days in the parks involves a lot of walking, and you don't want to be too tired by days three or four. My family always takes breaks at our Resort hotels, takes in
a relaxing show, or even stops by a snack cart for a Mickey Ice Cream Bar while taking in the happy atmosphere.
Familiarize yourself with the
My Disney Experience app. Are you searching for character locations? Curious about wait times? Need walking directions to the nearest restroom? All of this information can be found on the app.
If you only have one day to enjoy each park, I recommend booking
Lightning Lane Passes. This way, you can pre-select arrival windows to bypass the regular lines and enter the Lightning Lane queues. This will save you significant time. And because these passes operate on a "use one, get one" basis, you can use this service throughout your day, subject to availability.
Another time-saving tip is to utilize attractions, like Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, that offer a single- rider line. My husband and I were recently at Hollywood Studios and used the single-rider line for
Rise of the Resistance. While we did miss some of the pre-show, we cut our wait time by more than half.
Cassandra, I hope these tips help save you time and maximize your plans. If you have any specific questions about the individual theme parks, please don't hesitate to reach out again. We will be here, happy to help. As Maui would say, we THANK YOU for stopping by and YOU'RE WELCOME at planDisney anytime!
Happy planning,
Shonette
