Looking for tips on maximizing our FP. Our son will be 18 months old and 32" tall. Which rides should we get FP for and for what time slots? We'll need a break from 12 to 2 for his nap and be done by 7. We're doing 1 day MK and 1 day AK.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ashley! I have a small child this size, and now that my eldest is an elementary schooler, I have good experience knowing which FastPass+ reservations are well suited to this age group!

In Magic Kingdom, I would make FP+ for Peter Pan’s Flight, Jungle Cruise, and Journey of the Little Mermaid. Other rides like Dumbo and Winnie the Pooh have interactive queues with games and play areas that will keep him entertained as you move forward in line. Lines for the Mad Tea Party, It’s a Small World, and Haunted Mansion can be short at times, so use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to check current wait times. In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, rides best suited for your family would be the Na’vi River Journey (for which you will most definitely need a FP+), Kilimanjaro Safaris (these are best in the early mornings or the cool evenings), and the Triceratops Spin in Dinoland. Be sure to stop by the Boneyard to let your kid dig to his heart’s content. It’s a lot of prehistoric fun!

If I can add any more pixie dust to your magical trip, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
