We are looking at taking our boys for their 1st Disney trip next year, the last week of January. Typically what are the crowd levels like that last week in January? What is the weather typically like that time of year?

    Hello Ken!

I am sure your boys will be thrilled with their very first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.  Let the planning begin!

The month of January is typically a great time to travel for low crowds.  This is, of course, after school holiday breaks have ended.  Normally the Walt DIsney World Marathon occurs in January, but it is typically over by the last couple weeks of the month.  In terms of weather, January is one of the cooler months in the Orlando area.  Daily highs normally run in the low 70's (degrees in fahrenheit).  It can be quite cool at night with lows often in upper 40's.  That said, the Orlando area saw some 80 degree temps just last week.  Like so many places around the globe, weather changes frequently.  Be sure to keep an on the forecast just prior to your trip.

I wish you a truly magical vacation!
