Branda from OK Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are looking at taking the Bahamian cruise in November 2021. What do temperatures run and also, what do the Connect@Sea prices run? This will be are very first cruise so any first timer info would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Branda!

Congratulations on booking your very first sailing with Disney Cruise Line!  I love that you are ready to set out from the reef into deeper waters with a Disney cruise. From that very first “Welcome Aboard”, I hope you and your family are filled with excitement! Get ready to be wowed by all that is included in your Disney cruise.

While it’s not something we can ever control, the weather certainly can play a big factor in your vacation. According to the Islands of the Bahamas website, the average November temperature in the Bahamas ranges anywhere from 71 degrees to 83 degrees and water temperatures span 77 to 79 degrees. So get the bathing suits and sunscreen ready! Here’s a planDisney tip: be sure to pack all your desired pool items in your day bag so you can access them immediately and dive into all the poolside activities (as checked luggage will not be delivered until later in the day).

We now move from talking about weather to WEATHERing connectivity while at sea. This is always so important for Guests who need to get work done or stay in contact with the world back home while onboard. Connect@Sea is Disney Cruise Line’s wireless internet access portal, offering a variety of internet packages. Packages range in size from 100 MB to 1,000 MB, and there is also a pay-as-you-go option. The last rates for these packages were $19.00 for 100 MB, $39.00 for 300 MB, $89.00 for 1000 MB, and $0.25 per MB in lieu of a package. (Pricing is always subject to change.) There’s typically a special deal where if you sign up by midnight on your first day, you can take advantage of 50 MB for free.

Weather? Check! Internet? Check! All that remains is making sure your first Disney voyage is practically perfect in every way! From First Time Cruise Tips to advice from the Disney Parks Blog, you can quickly get well versed in all things Disney Cruise Line.

My final tips: be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to stay on top of all the onboard activities, communicate with friends and family using the chat feature, and view all of your plans. I would also highly recommend packing a lanyard with a card carrier. It’s the best place to put your Key the World Card during your sailing. This card lives up to its name as your key to everything on Disney Cruise Line! It unlocks your stateroom door, allows you to make charges to your stateroom account, and serves as your ship identification and photo card. Additionally, your Key to the World Card also has great information like your rotational dining schedule, table number, and muster station.

Just keep swimming back to planDisney if you think of anything else. We may want to shout, “Mine! Mine Mine!” when your questions come in, but I promise that we will dive in and get back with an answer just as quickly as we can. As Crush would say, have a totally righteous vacation!
