Hi! I was looking at taking advantage of the Free Dining Deal at Disney World (staying in Summer 2025). Is it possible to stay at a Deluxe resort and downgrade to a Quick Service Dining Plan (instead of the Table Service Dining Plan in the package)?

Hi Kat! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question!

I'm happy to hear that you're planning on taking advantage of this delicious offer this summer. Receiving a free Disney Dining Plan as part of your vacation package is the perfect way to bring an all-inclusive nature to your stay.

As you are aware, when staying in a Deluxe Disney Resorts Hotel as part of this special offer, you will get the Disney Dining Plan included with your stay (other eligibility requirements will apply). This will allow you one quick-service meal and one table-service meal each night of your trip. After speaking to multiple Cast Members regarding your question, they all confirmed that you can not downgrade your package to a Quick-Service Dining Plan. You'll need to stick with the regular Disney Dining Plan when staying in this type of resort. If you decide to stay in a Moderate or Value Resort, you will then receive the Quick-Service Dining Plan as part of that offer.

Kat, I suggest looking into staying in the Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. While this is considered in the Moderate category, it definitely has a Deluxe Resort feel. The main lobby inside of the tower is absolutely breathtaking and there are various bars, lounges, and dining locations that you typically see in a Deluxe Disney Resort. By booking this resort, you'll qualify solely for the Quick-Service Dining Plan.

While you may have your sight set on only quick-service meals during your stay, I would highly suggest trying some table-service dining locations. With the Dining Plan being included, it may give you the chance to try some new restaurants and dishes that you would normally not go for. The Walt Disney World Resort is filled with all types of offerings, including cuisines from all across the world. Sanaa, located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, is high on my list of places I can't wait to get back to. Plus, you get the added bonus of seeing animals roam the savanna while you are dining.

Kat, I hope you have a magical time during your stay! Stop back and see us again at planDisney!

    See ya real soon!
