Heigh Ho, Rebecca! Welcome to planDisney!
If Character Dining is what you seek, you've come to the right place! I love dining with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and all of their pals while visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. You, too, can join in on the fun! Here's how..
Rebecca, booking a
Character Dining meal can be as easy as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! But first.. you'll need to decide which experience is right for you! Are there characters that you are just head over heels for? Characters that you'd do anything to have a delicious meal with? If so, you can take a look at the available Character Dining options and see if your favorites happen to dine with Guests. Mickey and his pals tend to be the most popular, but you can also
dine with Snow White and some of the Seven Dwarfs,
the Disney Junior crew and even Stitch is returning to
'Ohana next month!
Another way to narrow down your options is to find the Character Dining meal that fits best with your vacation agenda. For example, if you're spending a full day at
EPCOT,
Garden Grill Restaurant may be a great place to get out of the sun and enjoy a meal with some long lost friends. If you're staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel that offers a Character Dining meal, that can also be a convenient reservation as it won't even be out of your way! My favorites at the resorts are
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera and
Chef Mickey's.Once you've made your decision, you can book your Character Dining experience ahead of time to reserve your table. You're able to book your meal as early as 60 days ahead of your arrival when staying at a Disney Resort Hotel or just 60 days in advance of the day you'd like to dine. If you're using the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, press the plus sign on the bottom menu bar, then select "Check Dining Availability." Input your party size, dining date and preferred meal to see the options. Once you find a reservation time slot you like at the restaurant of your choice, click that time option and follow the prompts to confirm your reservation! If you're using The Walt Disney World Resort Website, hover over the "Things to Do" tab, then click "Make Reservations." Put in the date, time and party size and filter by "Character Dining," then click "Search Times." Choose the best option for you, then follow the prompts to finalize your reservation.
If technology really isn't your thing, you can also
call a Cast Member at the Dining Reservations Line to make your reservation over the phone. These friendly helpers have access to all the available dining slots you see online and can take the work off of your plate by booking it right there from the other end of the phone. Ka-Chow!
I hope this helps answer your question today, Rebecca!
Happy dining,
Ashley
