Looking for some suggestions on things to do for solo travellers. My mom is coming with us on our trip & will be watching the kids while DH & I have some date nights but I would like to be able to send her out for some relaxation for her! We're sta

    Hi Laura,

That's so cool that you're on the hunt for some fun and relaxing excursions for your mom! I've done solo Disney trips before, so I've got a few ideas that might help:

#1: The spas and fitness centers around Walt Disney World offer a wide array of services that make them vacation destinations in and of themselves. After a few days of walking around the theme parks, I'm sure a massage would be a really nice treat for your mom!

#2: I'm a shopaholic when I'm at Walt Disney World. As a dude, a love of shopping is not supposed to be in my DNA. For some reason, I can't help myself when I'm there. That being said, your mom may enjoy an afternoon of browsing the shops around Downtown Disney.

#3: If your mom is a social butterfly, she may enjoy an excursion around Epcot's World Showcase. One of the many things I enjoy about my Disney vacations is having the chance to chat with the cast members. They're so friendly and genuinely love to engage in conversations with the guests. This is especially true with the cast members in the pavilions around World Showcase. The cast members in each pavilion are originally from those countries, so they have awesome stories to tell and are really fun to talk to. While I certainly love the food available around World Showcase, I think the cast members are what really make it a special place to hang out.

Here are some final thoughts from your buddy Derek:

The atmosphere is so friendly at Walt Disney World, so I've found it really easy to engage in conversations with other guests when I'm by myself. If your mom is like me and enjoys meeting new people, then she'll have a blast when she's out on her solo adventures!

I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
