Looking for any suggestions on getting from John Wayne Airport to Disneyland area hotel with 2 kids in carseats? Karmel shuttle does not provide them and Uber can be a long wait for a car with kids seats. Is renting a car our only option? HELP! :)

    Hello, Shea-Lynn!

I adore traveling with my kids, but wow...they need a lot of stuff! My family just "graduated" from the car seats phase not so long ago, but I remember how complicated it was to get from the airport to the Disneyland Resort. Been there, done that!

My recommendation is to search online for "car service from SNA to Disneyland with child seats" and look through the options that pop up. There are plenty of choices if you dig a little (I like to check the reviews, too) and you should be able to reserve one in advance. I always preferred to have one set up a week or two before our trip, rather than gamble on a ride share having car seats for us.

Depending on the ages of your kids, you could also look into compact travel boosters. When my kids were older, but not quite ready to go without a car seat entirely, we had foldable seats that would help them ride safely without taking up a ton of space. Then we were able to use regular ride shares again. Woohoo!

The good news is that John Wayne Airport is pretty easy to navigate. You'll be enjoying the Disneyland Resort before you know it!

You still have a little while to plan your trip, so it's a good idea to explore the dining options at the parks and see where you might like to make a reservation. You can usually make reservations 60 days in advance, and some locations fill up quickly. I like to set an alarm to remind me, just to be safe. With young kids, I totally recommend reserving a character meal! We like to dine with our pals in the mornings (especially if your kiddos are morning people like mine are) and if you choose one of the options at the Disneyland Resort Hotels you don't even need a park ticket. It's a great option for the day you arrive or leave if you don't plan to go into the parks!

Enjoy planning your trip, Shea-Lynn! Please let us know if you have other questions. Safe travels!

    Keep moving forward!
