    Looking into staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Which building should I request to be near the WEST depot? And is there a certain room category (i.e. standard, garden, etc.) that I should request? Thanks!

    It is great to have you back with another great question. I am so excited to hear that you are considering Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. For nostalgic and geographical reasons, it is my absolute favorite moderate resort. The charm of the south always appeals to this southern gal. I always feel so relaxed coming back to the warm hospitality of this resort hotel after a long and fun day at the parks.

    The West Depot is closest to buildings 34 and 24 in the Alligator Bayou section of the resort. Since the bus stops are closest to the parking lots, I would typically recommend requesting a standard view room. Please keep in mind that room and building requests cannot be guaranteed and are based on availability upon arrival. While these buildings are closest to the West Depot, they are quite a distance to the main building with Boatwright's Dining Hall and Riverside Mill Food Court. I just wanted to make you aware of that. If you choose building 34, that one is a bit closer to 'Ol Man Island, the main pool area.
