Hi there, I am looking at staying at New Orleans Riverside in March next year. Can you tell me how far of a walk it would proximately be from the main area - restuarants etc, from the Magolia buildiing on the Magolia Bend. Thanks

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tracey!

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside holds a special place in my heart because it was the first Disney Resort hotel at which I ever stayed AND it was during my honeymoon! I have returned numerous times since as I simply love the laid-back atmosphere and gorgeously manicured grounds! Building 85 (Magnolia) in the Magnolia Bend section does have a bit of a walk, but it really doesn’t feel that far as you are crossing over ‘Ol Man Island and it is a beautiful and scenic walk to get to the main building which houses Riverside Mill (food court), Fulton’s General Store, the lobby concierge, and the main bus stop. Depending on your walking speed, I would say it could take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes, although it really does depend on a number of factors. When I broke my toe a few years ago by stubbing it REALLY hard on a pool lounge chair, I would say it took me about 10-15 minutes to hobble around from the main bus stop to my room in the Magnolia Bend section! Also, you can use the East Depot bus stop which is just beside the Magnolia mansion building if you are just in need of transportation.

I hope this answers your question and that you have a wonderful vacation. Please come back and visit us again soon,
