Ahoy there, Carol! Thank you for sailing by planDisney with your question.
Since you plan to stay at the
Walt Disney World Resort, you can book Disney Cruise Line
transportation through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or by
calling Disney Cruise Line directly. A fee is associated with this service. Availability is also limited, so I suggest reserving your ground transportation as soon as you make your Disney hotel reservation.
Because you will be using the cruise line's transportation, you will be assigned a Port Arrival Time. You will be provided with the details, such as pick-up location and time. You may get assigned an early time, but depending on your resort, your shuttle may pick up other Guests, and there may be traffic on the way to Port Canaveral.
The magic starts as soon as you board the shuttle, though, because you will hand over your checked luggage and you won't need to worry about it anymore until it shows up at your stateroom door. That's why it is important to keep your
travel documentation with you in your carry-on bag.
Carol, I hope this helps you continue planning your next Disney vacation. My
planDisney pals and I can answer any other questions you may have for your stay at Disney or about sailing on the high seas with Disney! We hope to see you again real soon.
