Looking at staying at Coronado Springs, which complex would you recommend staying in. We are traveling with 2 children, 8 and 5. We would like to be near the pool and transportation. I also like the beach idea with the hammock. Which one do we choose?

    Hi, Drusilla!

Coronado Springs is a wonderful resort, but it is huge!  The problem is that the main pool is not close to the lobby area, so if you choose to be by the pool, you still have to hike it to eat!  Luckily, the buses make a loop around the resort, so you will always be fairly close to a bus stop regardless of your building.

Take a look at the resort map HERE.  If a location near the Dig Site (main pool) is most important to you, the closest rooms are in the Cabanas Building 8A.   Cabanas Buildings 9A and 9B are a nice compromise, being centered between the Dig Site and El Centro.

If you have a specific location in mind, make sure you book the correct room as there are many options when booking at Coronado Springs, with options such as preferred location, water view, etc.   Very specific locations such as building numbers can be requested but not guaranteed.

It really is beautiful at this resort, and I have always found it to be very quiet and great for walks and relaxing.  If you think you might want a smaller resort with less walking, take a look at Port Orleans French Quarter which is about half the size with everything near by.  Have fun deciding and let us know if you have other planning questions for your magical Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
