Looking to stay at the Wilderness lodge, but it currently says no rooms available the first week of December. Is it possible more rooms will open up or are we out of luck? Thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Catherine!

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is my (current) all-time favorite Disney Resort hotel! There’s something about the grand lobby, the atmosphere, and that outdoorsy smell that reminds me of camping as a child, but with all the glamor and magic of a Deluxe Disney Resort hotel!

I certainly do hope that a room becomes available for you! Here are a few tips:

-Keep checking on the Walt Disney World Website- I would even be checking daily!
-Give a quick call to a Disney Reservation Specialist, they might be able to see availability through their crystal balls!
-Ask a local Travel Agent for help! They can keep an eye on it for you.
-If SOME of your dates are available, perhaps consider a split-stay between 2 different Disney Resort hotels!

Alternatively, if those are the only dates available to you, might I suggest making a reservation for a different Disney Resort hotel to secure your spot? You can always cancel it when/if Disney’s Wilderness Lodge opens up. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has a similar architecture (not to mention Savannah Views), but is in a very different location, near Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This can actually be quite useful in order to be near Pandora -The World of Avatar

I hope this helps you and I will keep all of my fingers and toes crossed for you! Come and visit us again soon!
