Hey, Melisa!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is such a fun place. Each pool and themed building transport you right into the movie. My kids loved playing with Simba in the "Elephant Graveyard" and swimming with Crush in the Big Blue Pool.
As you have seen, the kitchenette includes a sink, coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave. The cabinets are stocked with disposable cups, coffee service, plasticware, plates and bowls. There is no toaster or cooktop. Microwavable foods like oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, popcorn, grits, and soups are quick/easy meals to make at the kitchenette. You can also use the microwave to reheat leftovers. We mainly used the kitchenette for the above items as well as for cereal.
If you need a full kitchen to cook, then I would suggest checking out
Walt Disney World Resort Deluxe Villas. You will find everything you need to prepare and store meals while visiting the place "where dreams come true." Studio rooms do not have a full kitchen but do come with a stocked kitchenette.
A simple internet search for Disney's Art of Animation Resort kitchenette or Walt Disney World Resort Deluxe Villa kitchen will show you tons of pictures of the setups.
Disney Dad Tip: If disposables are not replaced each day then you may call housekeeping and they will bring you replacements. My suggestion is to inventory what you need the day before and place the request so that you have everything fresh for the next morning.
Melisa, enjoy making many Magical Memories at
Walt Disney World Resort!
