If looking to stay at a second resort during our disney trip, would it be 2 separate arrival dates? We dont want to lose out on the waterparks if we end up booking another hotel for a night

Hi there, McKennsie, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with this question about one of my favorite topics: RESORTS!

McKennsie, I'm a huge fan of Disney Resorts Collection hotels. With their unique theming and magical vibes, there's just nowhere I'd rather stay. I'm the first to admit I'm a little obsessed...which is why my family almost always splits our stays between two (or more!) Disney resorts. So let's dive right in and check out your options for a split stay in Walt Disney World!

First of all, let's talk about Disney World's 2026 Free Water Park Benefit. With this perk, you'll get free access to either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach (whichever is open at the time of your visit) on check-in day. Good news, right? But here's the best part: this benefit is good on CHECK-IN day - not just the day you physically arrive in Disney World. This means that if you're staying at two resorts during your visit, you'll get this perk each time you check in to a new resort

Now, before I go, let's chat a bit about split stays (hotels are my favorite topic, remember!). I don't know which resorts you're considering for your stay, but if I'm booking resorts from two different tiers, I like to end my stay at the higher-end resort. It's a lot more fun to go from a Value Resort to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort than it is the other way around! On transfer day, simply call Bell Services from your hotel room, and a friendly Disney Cast Member will collect your luggage for transfer to your second resort.

I hope this information is helpful, McKennsie, and that your upcoming stay is full of magic! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,

    Allison
