I am looking to stay at one of the Disney Springs hotels and taking advantage of the Dining Card, my question is am I able to upgrade to the BDP?

Hi Amber and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to see that you’ve been busy planning your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! For me, planning is half of the fun!

Guests staying at Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels can enjoy limited benefits during their magical vacations. Some benefits include the ability to make FastPass+ selections 60 days before their visit, they also can enjoy Extra Magic Hours and close proximity to Disney Springs. Dining Cards are offered to guests staying at these Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels to help save some time and money when it comes to purchasing quick service meals. While the dining cards are a great benefit, there’s no way to upgrade to a Disney Dining Plan if you’re not a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

Guests who would like to purchase a Disney Dining Plan must be staying at a Disney Resort hotel. But you know, since you are just beginning to plan, you could take a look at the Benefits of Being a Disney Resort Hotel guest to explore your options. Disney Resort hotel guests get to enjoy all the benefits I listed for guests staying at Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, they also receive complimentary MagicBands for everyone in their party and complimentary standard parking at all four theme parks.

Amber, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue planning your special trip. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back to see us! Helping you with all the details of your magical visit is our favorite thing to do!
