Hi Mike! Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to help you with your plans for visiting
Walt Disney World during your Florida tour. While you're only staying for a short time, there’s plenty to experience! With four incredible Theme Parks, two
water parks, the shopping and dining district of
Disney Springs, and more, Walt Disney World offers endless fun for visitors of all ages. Many Guests choose shorter trips to get a taste of the magic, and it's the perfect way to introduce yourself to the world of Disney, especially if you're planning for longer stays in the future!
When it comes to tickets, for our UK friends, you have the ability to purchase
14-Day Magic and 7-Day Magic Tickets while at home. But Hakuna Matata, you’ve got several other options once you arrive in the States. For a shorter visit like yours, I’d recommend the
3-Day ticket with the Park Hopper Option, which allows you to explore multiple parks in one day. This will give you the flexibility to hop between parks, making the most of your three-day visit. Whether you're starting your morning on a safari in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and ending the night watching fireworks at EPCOT, Park Hopper tickets let you experience more of the magic without being tied to one location per day.
To maximize your time and keep travel easy, I recommend staying at one of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels that are closest to the parks. For the ultimate in luxury and convenience,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offers a stunning, elegant stay right next to Magic Kingdom Park. If you’re seeking a nostalgic experience,
Disney's Contemporary Resort is another excellent option. Both resorts are a quick monorail ride or walk away to Magic Kingdom! For easy access to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios,
Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and
Disney's BoardWalk Inn are all great choices. While all the resorts just mentioned are within walking distance to at least one park,
Disney’s complimentary transportation system makes getting anywhere on property a breeze.
Mike, you mentioned visiting with older Guests. If you're traveling with older Guests, and they may need some assistance with getting around the parks, rest assured that Disney is great at
accommodating those with mobility needs. Wheelchairs and Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs/scooters) are available for rent, and Disney’s preferred partners even offer drop-off at your resort, so you can use them throughout your entire stay. Most Disney transportation options are fully accessible, ensuring that mobility assistance devices can be used both at the parks and within the resort.
Please feel free to reach out to me again if you’d like recommendations for dining, tips on how to structure your days, or any other help with your plans. I’d be happy to assist you in making your Disney trip as magical as possible!
See you real soon!
