Hello, Anita! It's so good to see you back here at planDisney! It looks like you'll be returning to The Most Magical Place on Earth again, and I couldn't be happier for you! Let's tackle this question!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorite places to stay! The theming is incredible, it has so many wonderful dining options, and those savanna views can't be beat! They offer several different types of rooms, including:

    • Standard rooms with a King bed or two Queen beds
    • One-bedroom and Two-bedroom Suites
    • Studios and Deluxe Studios
    • One-bedroom and Two-bedroom Villas
    • Three-bedroom Grand Villas
    • Royal Asante Presidential Suite
You can choose from Resort view, Water view, or Savanna view for any of these. There are Club-level options in each of these categories, as well.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is divided into two large main buildings: Jambo House and Kidani Village. Jambo House has both resort rooms and DVC suites and villas, while Kidani Village is solely a DVC property with only Studios and Villas. You can reserve rooms in either section, even if you aren't a DVC member, as long as there is availability. It looks like you've narrowed it down to a room with two Queen beds or a Deluxe Studio, which has one Queen bed and one Double-sized sleeper sofa. You'll find both of these types of rooms in Jambo House, while Kidani Village would have the Deluxe Studio.

I think both buildings are stunning and that you can't go wrong with either! Some guests prefer Jambo House for the convenient access to so many popular dining options. My advice is to book your preferred room type and make a note of your preference to be near the pool and lobby. While Cast Members are unable to guarantee room requests, my experience is that they always do their best and are typically successful.

The Deluxe Studios are a great choice for two people. There is a Queen bed, a sleeper sofa, and a kitchenette complete with a microwave and a mini fridge. They typically cost only minimally more than a standard room.

Did you know that Animal Kingdom Lodge has a Starlight Safari? It's an opportunity to take an adventure on the resort's savannas after the sun has gone down. They provide night-vision goggles to see what the animals are up to once it's dark out! Reservations are highly recommended.

I am a huge fan of all of Animal Kingdom Lodge's dining options, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Boma - Flavors of Africa. It's an all-you-care-to-eat buffet of African offerings, and it is popular for a reason! When you're done, you can head out to the public savanna area and chat with the knowledgeable and friendly Cast Members about all the interesting animals. My entire family loves doing this!

I hope this was helpful, Anita! You are going to make magical memories on this next trip! If you have any more questions, please come back and see us here at planDisney! We're always happy to help!
