Hi all, looking for recommendations. My son is obsessed with Coco. We are wondering if any of the resort’s hotels are Coco themed? Also, are there any shows or dining events that feature Miguel? Preferably Orlando but open to ideas of other resorts.

Hi Scott! Welcome to planDisney! Tracking down our favorite characters at the Walt Disney World Resort is one of the best parts of the vacation! Here, at planDisney, we want to make it as easy as possible for you and your son to find Miguel from Coco!

The best place to see Miguel is during the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade! The “mini-parade” of characters, including Miguel, takes place daily at Magic Kingdom Park! You can find the times for the cavalcade on the website link (above) or at your fingertips by using your My Disney Experience app! When you open the app, tap on the tile that states, “Rides, Shows & Lightning Lane Entry.” When the page opens select “Magic Kingdom Park.” Scroll down until you see “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade.” The showtimes will appear on the screen! While this isn’t an opportunity for a “meet and greet” with Miguel, you will be able to wave to him and perhaps get a few pictures with him in the background! Please keep in mind that character appearances are subject to change.

Another fun way to “see” Miguel at Magic Kingdom Park is in Mickey’s PhilharMagic! Miguel appears in animated form alongside Donald Duck! Yes, that’s right, Miguel and Donald share the stage during this unique show in which Donald finds himself immersed in the “worlds” of Aladdin, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Fantasia, The Lion King, and Coco! This is my favorite attraction at Magic Kingdom Park!

Finally, EPCOT honors Miguel (and Dante, too) in topiary form at the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. The Coco-themed topiaries can be found at the Mexico Pavilion. Also, the Mexico Folk Art Gallery features “Remember Me!” – La Celbracion del Dia de Muertos! Much of the work here is inspired by Coco!

Scott, I hope you and your son have a great visit! Have fun tracking down Miquel!

    Dreams do come true!
