We're looking to take our son and daughter to a Disney resort for their birthdays, in June. We're hoping to book a club level room and not do any parks as our passes won't work. Which would be the best for a 5 yr.old girl and 9 yr. old boy?

    Hi Bethann ~

There are so many amazing Walt Disney World Resort hotels and it can be hard to choose! I think your kids would really enjoy Disney's Yacht Club Resort or Disney's Beach Club Resort. There are some amazing perks to staying at either of these two resorts.

My boys' favorite thing at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts is Stormalong Bay which features an amazing sand-bottomed pool with a lazy river. It has one of the highest waterslides at any of the hotels. There are three leisure pools for those looking for a quiet place to relax.

There are tons of recreation options at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts including boat rentals, an arcade, sand volleyball, fishing, movies under the stars, and campfires. Pirate Adventure Cruises are available for kids 4 to 12 years old so your kids are the perfect age to join in the fun.

These resorts are conveniently located across Crescent Lake from Disney's BoardWalk which has lots of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf is also nearby.

There are excellent dining options at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts including a character breakfast at Cape May Café. You can all share a kitchen sink at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.

If you decide that you would like a grown up night, The Sandcastle Club offers childcare for ages 3 to 12 years. Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts are a win-win!
