Welcome back to planDisney, Shaun! You've brought a question that more casual fans of the Walt Disney World Resort might be wondering about. October 1, 2021 will be a special day at the Most Magical Place on Earth! That day is the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Walt Disney World Resort!
The
Disney Park Pass Reservation System currently shows no availability for Magic Kingdom Park on October 1, 2021. It is possible that additional park capacity will be opened, but it is very difficult to predict when that might occur. There have been previous dates on which parks were marked as unavailable, but additional park capacity was made available at a later date. As I was preparing for my most recent visit, Disney's Hollywood Studios was marked as unavailable. I continued to check, daily, and was pleasantly surprised to see additional capacity added as the date of my arrival approached!
