Lacey from NJ Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We are looking to use the rider swap on our trip in November since we will traveling with our 6 month old. Will both my boyfriend and I have to use our fast passes to do this or will we just have to use one?

    Hello Lacey!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am excited to hear that soon you will be making magical memories with your family at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Traveling with little ones is always incredible, and it’s just amazing to experience the magic through their eyes. However, there are moments when babies are still unable to ride certain attractions, and that is when Rider Switch comes in handy!

Rider Switch service allows one adult to wait with the baby while the other enjoys a participating attraction. Afterwards, the adult taking care of the baby will be able to access the attraction through the FastPass+ line using a digital pass at a designated time. The Guest returning with the pass does not need to originally have a FastPass+ for the attraction. The first adult to ride can use a FastPass+ in case he or she has one, or simply use the regular standby line. To request Rider Switch, you and your boyfriend need to talk to Cast Members at the entrance of participating attractions and they will help you through the process.

Moms Panel tip: don’t forget to plan extra time with your baby at Magic Kingdom Park, and take advantage of the Baby Care Centers located at all theme parks.

I hope this helps you while planning, Lacey! Have a magical visit and come back real soon with more questions.

    Best Disney Wishes,
