Looking for review of the Yacht club? Trying to decide on staying there, or Port Orleans. Yacht Club is definitely more money, but is it worth it? Thank you!

    Hi Christine ~

I love Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Resorts - French Quarter and Riverside. There are some amazing perks to staying at the Yacht Club. From there you can walk or take a Friendship Boat to Epcot's International Gateway Entrance and Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's also conveniently located across Crescent Lake from Disney's Boardwalk which has lots of dining, shopping, and entertainment options.

My favorite thing at Disney's Yacht Club Resort is Stormalong Bay which features an amazing pool with a lazy river and a cool waterslide. There are also three leisure pools for those looking for a quiet place to relax.

There are excellent dining options at the Yacht Club including quick service locations, fine dining, a character breakfast at Cape May Café and 24-hour room service. There is a fitness center as well as spa and salon services offered at the Yacht Club. The Sandcastle Club offers childcare for ages 3 to 12 years.

Both of Disney's Port Orleans Resorts have great pools and playgrounds. You can take a water taxi to Disney Springs which is super convenient. You can find lounges, quick service and casual dining here.

If you plan to spend most of your time in the theme parks, I would go for Port Orleans. If you plan to spend more down time at your resort, go for the Yacht Club that offers more amenities - it is amazing!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
