HI, Looking to return to WDW in March with my 12 and 10 year olds. Looking at AOA, what is the driving time to the parks from AOA as we will have our own car and my youngest has health issues that limit her walking ability. What is the parking like?

    Hi Susan!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is adorable.  I think you and your kids would love it there!

Driving to the parks is usually fairly simple, especially with cell phones and voice directions. It depends on which park you're visiting, but I would say 20 - 25 minutes would cover them all. There are parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities at each park, so definitely bring your disability tag if you have one. Otherwise, you can park and then take trams to the entrance.  Here is a link with more information about parking at Walt Disney World.

I would suggest calling a Disney Reservations specialist to make your reservation.  When you do, tell them your situation and they can enter a request for your room to be close to the parking lot at your resort.  Some of the resorts are pretty spread out, so you don't want to be far away from your vehicle.  You can reach a specialist at 407-939-1936.  Here is a link to the Walt Disney World Phone Directory, in case you need any other numbers.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
