I am looking for restaurant recommendations that are not in the parks but also not in Disney Springs! We have kids but can be somewhere nice also!

Hey there, Lanie! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with such a great question!

If you're anything like me, Lanie, food is half the fun on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. And no one can create entertaining yet elegant, delicious dining experiences quite like Disney, don't you think? They're practically perfect for everyone from the littlest foodies to us kids at heart. Some of my very favorite dining experiences are located at the Resort hotels, so you've come to the right place for recommendations outside the parks and Disney Springs. Now, let's dive in!

If your travel party is looking for character dining, look no further than Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White at Wilderness Lodge. The food and cocktails here are delicious and themed to perfection (Trust me, you will want a taste of this Enchanted Apple.), and you dine with Snow White, a couple of the Dwarfs and even The Queen in the beautiful Enchanted Forest. From beginning to end, this meal is nothing short of enchanting.

Another top pick for elegant and scrumptious character dining is Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort. The breakfast offerings are unique and executed to perfection, and the character interaction is oh-so-fun. Before you leave, don't forget to check out the stunning views of Walt Disney World from the restaurant's rooftop terrace!

Want to enjoy dinner in a beautiful African village on the savanna? Then you must try Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. This Resort and restaurant are second to none in theming, and you can even watch African animals roam the savanna! How cool is that?! The flavorful dishes leave me daydreaming about them. The Indian-Style Bread Service and Vegetable Curry ... Mmmm.

I simply can't chat about my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World without mentioning one of my new faves, The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant at Disney's BoardWalk. With its elegant white and gold decor, the restaurant is stunning, and the service cannot be beaten. Every sparkly sip and beautiful bite was better than the last. This restaurant is a must-try!

I could go on and on about Disney dining, but I hope this was helpful, Lanie! And I hope you have the most magical and memorable visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. May it be filled with food and fun. Stop by any time with any questions you may have!

    Bon Appetit,

    Mandy
