I am looking into resorts, what is the difference between the Disney springs and Bonnet Creek area. Are those within the Disney resort?

    Hello Eva!

Welcome to planDisney! September is a great time of year to visit. Be sure to put the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival on your Must-Do List! Enjoy a leisurely stroll as you sip and savor tastes from around the world. This is my favorite festival at Epcot and it is not to be missed!

There are seven Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels that while physically on Walt Disney World property, are not Disney-owned and operated. Guests staying at these resorts do receive some perks and benefits! The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is also owned by a third party and while surrounded by Disney property, is not on Disney property itself. This resort also contracts with Disney to extend special benefits to Guests. Typically Guests of these resorts can make FastPass+ reservations 60 days in advance for their length of stay and can enjoy Extra Magic Hours. Currently, with Covid-19 precautions in place, FastPass+ and Extra Magic Hours are both on pause, so neither of those benefits would apply to a September trip. However, you would be able to make Advance Dining Reservations 60 days ahead of your check-in for the entire length of your resort stay, and with dining reservations being hard to secure, this can be a nice perk. These hotels offer their own transportation to the Disney Theme Parks for their Guests.

While September seems far away, in terms of planning a Disney vacation, I would recommend you make your plans and book soon. Once you have decided on a resort, you should purchase your theme park tickets and make your complimentary Disney Park Pass Reservations right away. Disney Park Pass Reservations are new and are a way to keep park capacity at a level safer for Cast Members and Guests. These Park Pass Reservations are filling quickly, weeks and several months in advance, so once you have solidified your plans, don’t wait to make those Park Pass Reservations!

I hope this helps with your planning, Eva. I hope you'll return to see us with any additional questions you have before your visit. We are here to help!
