Looking for resort with our two boys 4 and 2) and both sets of Grandparents. I am looking to book three separate rooms at either a Moderate or AoA. I am most concerned about convenience/getting back and forth to the parks and the adults being comfortable.

    Hi there Kristie!

Your boys are going to make such wonderful and lasting memories at Walt Disney World with their grandparents. Congratulations on your plans!

If I were in your shoes I'd look no further than Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. This wonderful resort is very centrally located, making travel distances to all the parks basically equal. Although the resort shares its bus with the neighboring Port Orleans - Riverside, French Quarter is the first stop on the way out and the first stop on the way home in the evening. This makes it likely that the grandparents will be assured a seat on the bus (rather than standing) in the mornings, and a shorter bus ride on the way home from the parks for all at the end of the day.

The pool area includes a relaxing and secluded hot tub - the perfect place for adults to unwind at the end of the day. Resort Rooms are equipped with 2 Queen Size Beds in each and a double sink and vanity outside of the enclosed tub and toilet area. Your boys will love the doubloons and beads in the resort lobby and the fun, Doubloon Lagoon feature swimming area complete with serpent water slide. There's also a shallow, children's pool.

An additional perk about this location that I love is the boat service to Downtown Disney. If the grandparents are enjoying some non-park time one day, they can choose to hop on a boat and enjoy some people-watching, strolling and shopping at Downtown Disney. Alternatively, a short walk up the Sassagoula River pathway to the neighboring Riverside property and they'll have access to boat rentals and even horse drawn carriage rides in the evening.

It would be my hands-down choice for your party's needs.
I hope you find this information helpful Kristie. Please don't hesitate to write me back. I'd love to hear from you again! Wishing you a simply Magical time planning your Walt Disney World vacation!
