We are looking for a resort that "tween boys" 9/12 would like. Putt Putt golf, arcade, water sports. Is there one Disney resort in particular that stands out as a favorite for you MOMS??

Hey there, Linda, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let’s get to planning a fun-filled Walt Disney World Resort vacation for those active boys of yours!

I’m the mom of a 9-year-old boy myself, and our vacations have certainly changed over the years. But that’s one of the amazing things about Walt Disney World - as my son’s interests change, our Disney trips can change right along with them.

My recommendation for your on-the-go guys is Disney’s Beach Club Resort. First, it’s home to an absolutely splash-tacular swimming pool, including a huge water slide that looks like a pirate ship! You can rent motorized watercraft at the nearby marina (an adult needs to drive), or play a game of beach volleyball. If they’re sports fans like my little guy, hop over to the ESPN Club at Disney’s BoardWalk and catch a game. Then, hit Beaches and Cream Soda Shop and tackle the massive Kitchen Sink Sundae - if you dare!

All that, plus you’re just steps away from Epcot, or a scenic boat ride from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I think you and your boys will love it!

I hope this helps you plan a totally rad vacation for your guys, Linda. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
