Welcome to planDisney, Mikaela!
Choosing a place to stay is possibly the most important decision when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many amazing resorts on property. Having monorail and boat access are great features of any resort. These are two of my favorite ways to travel to and from the theme parks.
The resorts below are in the Magic Kingdom area and have standard rooms that fit up to 5 Guests. The standard rooms include two queen-sized beds and a couch that can become a bed. They also have both monorail and boat access:
Any of these hotels will be a "practically perfect" place to stay, Mikaela. However, my personal preference is Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This hotel actually has the largest standard rooms out of the three. We recently stayed in one of these rooms and it was huge. We only have four people (two adults and two kids), but there was more than enough room for one more. They also have a wonderful Moana theme that is extremely magical (for both adults and kids).
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is also fantastic for children. The Lava Pool has a zero-grade entry and includes a brilliant water slide. Next to the pool is the Kiki Tikis splash play area, which is incredibly fun. There's also a beach area, which my children love to play in. There are a lot of activities for children too, like roasting marshmallows to make s'mores, dance parties, and watching movies under the stars. Plus, the South Pacific island vibe is so relaxing!
However, you can't go wrong with any of these resorts. Wherever you choose to stay, Mikaela, I trust you'll have an enchanting time. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
