Looking for a resort (or 2, may "resort hop") that has good pools, good transportation, and fun for our kids (ages 7 and 9). Stayed at AOA family suite last year and loved it!!!! Looking for something similar but a new experience without a lot of

Hi Jason!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Have you considered staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort?  It is actually one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotels and since it is in the moderate category, it's pretty budget friendly too.  I recommend this resort a lot because I truly feel it has something for everyone.  The rooms are actually some of the largest for a moderate resort, which is nice for a family of your size and ages to be able to spread out a little bit.  The standard rooms are a soft Nemo theme that is really cute, but not over the top. The resort also has a block of rooms that are pirate themed - complete with beds that look like ships, side tables that look like crates and a navigation guide for a table.  Those room are a swashbuckling good time.  The pool area is also fantastic.  It features two super fun water slides that my 7 year old just loves, water cannons for extra splish splashin' fun and two hot tubs for relaxing in after a long day at the parks.  There is also a really fun water play area for smaller children, if you ever have any traveling with you.  You also can't beat the nightly marshmallow roasts down by the white sandy beaches.  My husbands favorite part of the resort are the hammocks they have on the beach.  He's been known to fall asleep in them several times!  The downside to this resort is that it is quite large and there is some walking from the rooms to the food court area.  I've personally never minded the walk, it's beautiful but there are internal shuttles that will take you around if you need.

If you loved staying at Art of Animation, I highly encourage you to take a look at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  I think your family would have a great time staying there.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
