Hi Nathan! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question!
I'm happy to hear that you're planning a trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort! While it's never too early to start the planning process, you will need to wait a bit until you can officially book your stay. Reservations for the following year typically open up around late spring or early summer. While this has been the case in years past, I suggest checking back periodically over the next few months to see if reservations become available. You can also follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog to stay up to date on any news and announcements.
You have plenty of options when choosing to stay at the
Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Whether you are traveling in an RV, a camper van-type vehicle, or you want to set up a tent, the choice will be yours. When it comes time to book your vacation, you can add your park tickets to your reservation to create a customized vacation package. You can even add one of the
Dining Plans to make your trip feel a bit more all-inclusive. By doing so, you will be allotted a select number of meals per day that will be included in the cost of your trip.
Make sure to include some time one evening to check out
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long. This activity takes place nightly at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You can roast marshmallows and make s'mores with your family around the campfire while Chip 'n' Dale are hanging around. After that, stay for the Movie Under the Stars as a Disney movie will be shown in the same area. When we asked our daughters what their favorite memory was from our trip, this event was at the top of their list.
Nathan, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay!
