Ahoy there Dennis! Welcome back to planDisney - glad to have you aboard again! Let's get right down to it!
The classic question of where to stay to bookend your
Disney Cruise Line vacation. I know when my family decides to add a stay at Walt Disney World Resort before or after we cruise, we typically look at hotel availability at our favorites beforehand. This usually gives us a good insight as to the options we'll have officially when we contact Disney Cruise Line to book our
Disney Vacations by Land and Sea. There aren't any official limitations, but room availability will always be a factor!
As a planDrew-approved tip, if there's somewhere you'd really like to stay, and you have availability to book it directly through the
Walt Disney World Resort website, I suggest booking the dates (as long as you're fully committed to them!) and then contacting Disney Cruise Line by phone to let them know your plans so they can assist you in getting your ground transportation squared away! We just did this when we decided to stay at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort for an upcoming cruise, and the crew members are always super helpful when handling these requests!
Of course, your nautical mileage may vary, and everything is subject to availability, but with a bit of faith, trust, pixie dust, and solid planning, you'll be well on your way to your perfect vacation! Thank you as always for your question, Dennis, and we'll keep a weather eye on the horizon for your colors!
Fair winds and following seas!
