    Hello! We are looking to make reservations at Tusker House, but it says character dining is modified. Can you tell me what this means? Are there characters there? Thanks!

    Hey there Katie! Welcome to planDisney! Isn’t it great to know that you are one day closer to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!?

    Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is my family’s favorite park, and that makes Tusker House Restaurant a staple on each of our trips! We typically grab a late breakfast reservation for Tusker House Restaurant, snack throughout the park for lunch (a stop at Mr. Kamal’s is always in order), and cap it off with a Yak & Yeti Restaurant reservation for dinner!

    Good News! Donald Duck and his Disney pals are still greeting Tusker House diners while swagged out in their safari gear! Character dining experiences have been modified to ensure the safety of our beloved Disney pals and Walt Disney World guests by allowing for proper distancing. Practically, this means that Donald Duck and his Disney friends will travel throughout the Tusker House dining rooms while remaining a safe distance away from patrons. They currently do not stop at individual tables.
