Hi Lisa,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to share information about one of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World.
First things first: Resort reservations have not yet opened up for 2027. We don't know exactly when those dates will be announced, but it likely will be in late spring. Please keep an eye on the Walt Disney World website for booking availability.
Coronado Springs Resort is my family's go-to moderate resort. We've stayed there every Christmas for the past five years and make frequent weekend in other months. We usually stay in a first-floor water view room in the Casitas section, which we find both quiet and convenient. There's a bus stop nearby, and it's an easy walk to all the restaurants, pools and lounges from there.
We love hanging out in the lovely
Barcelona Lounge for coffee and pastries in the morning and appetizers and a Gran Gin Tonic in the evening. Three Bridges Bar & Grill is fun for dinner or a drink next to the fire pit, and we're fans of the fare at
Toledo -- Tapas, Steak & Seafood and the adjacent
Dahlia Lounge, both at the top of the Gran Destino Tower. If you like sangria,
Sangria University -- offered in Toledo on weekends -- is a fun experience as well.
Even though the main pool at the
Dig Site is popular with kids of all ages, my husband and I can usually find quiet, shady chairs to relax and read there.
And if you want to hit the theme parks or Disney Springs while others are attending their conference meetings, you can hop on a bus at one of the four stops around the resort.
I hope you enjoy Coronado Springs as much as my family does, Lisa, and that your time with your family there is magical. Please let us know if you have other questions.
Enjoy!
Wilma
