Hi Yilda!
Welcome to planDisney! I love Walt Disney World Resort at the holidays, and I'm happy to share a bit more about theme park reservations as you continue planning your trip. It's certainly a beautiful and festive time to visit the parks, but it can also be a busy one, so I understand your desire to plan accordingly!
Yilda,
theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets; however, they are required for select admission types, such as Military Salute Tickets and Annual Passes. If you have a ticket that requires theme park reservations, you can
view availability and make your reservations online. As you're checking availability, please keep in mind that some ticket types may have blockout dates.
When visiting the parks during the holidays, I have a few time-saving tips to help manage wait times for attractions and dining.
Lightning Lane passes are available for purchase ahead of your visit, allowing you to select return times for some of your must-do attractions. If you're
staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can begin purchasing passes and making your selections for the entire length of your stay 7 days before your check-in date. Resort Guests can also take advantage of
earlier booking windows for advanced dining reservations starting 60 days before your check-in date for the length of your stay, up to 10 days. If you're dining at a Quick-Service location, you can check availability for
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering in your
My Disney Experience Mobile App. This will allow you to place your food order and select a pick-up time from
select locations.
I hope this information has been helpful, Yilda, and that you enjoy making many merry and magical memories at Walt Disney World Resort later this year! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
Cheers!
Kristi
