I was looking at renting a wheelchair for my sister while at Disney, September 20-27th. Do they sell out quickly? Should I go through someone else? I'd rather not have to bring it to and from the parks, if it's not necessary.

    Hi Ralie!

Thanks for your question. Because we have a special needs son, we have rented a wheelchair many times when visiting Walt Disney World. The advantage of renting at the Parks is that you don't have to transport it to the Park. If, however, you are staying on Disney property, it is very easy to bring it with you on Disney transportation. The negative is that you will need to wait in line every morning to rent it and that, depending on the crowds, you run the risk of them selling out. It's also important to know that you cannot take rented wheelchairs from Park to Park. Personally, I love renting from a private company before I arrive. They make sure it is waiting for you when you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and pick it up after you return home. It is as simple as can be!

Please let us know if we can help you with any other planning tips or ideas. Have a magical day!
