Hi there Megan!
Welcome to
planDisney! I'm happy to help answer your question about staying in a
Disney Vacation Club Studio or a 1-BDR Villa; there are so many great things I can say about DVC lodging. One of the biggest perks for my family is having a kitchenette in a Deluxe Studio or a full kitchen in a Villa. We like to enjoy a quick breakfast in the room before we rope drop the parks, and DVC accommodations make that super convenient!
When it comes to occupancy in a Deluxe Studio or Villa, you’re allowed to have one child under the age of 3 who does not count toward the room’s listed maximum. Please be aware that you must include your little one on the reservation so Disney can ensure everyone's in the room for safety and housekeeping purposes.
If the 2-year-old needs their own sleeping space, they do have Pack and Plays available for Guests to borrow. The Pack and Play comes with a light fitted sheet but no other bedding. These Pack and Plays are subject to availability, but they can be reserved directly through the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line or requested at your resort's Front Desk upon arrival. (Be sure to have your resort reservation number handy.)
If you wish to have a larger space, I recommend looking into the 1-BDR Villas. The Villas have a large sitting area where everyone can sit, relax and enjoy each other's company. They also have the convenience of a full kitchen and laundry.
My family absolutely loves the 1-Bedroom Villas at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. They’re some of the largest in that category, and the whole resort has this wonderfully relaxed, laid-back vibe that makes it feel like a true vacation retreat.
I hope this clears up your question, Megan. If you have any other planning questions, please don't hesitate to revisit us at planDisney - we'd love to help!
See ya real soon,
Candace
