I am looking to rent an ecv for my wife for the first week in September. We are staying at Pop Century. Is there more than one company that delivers to bell service without me being present? I read there were battery issues with the service I was planning

Hi David, welcome back to planDisney. It’s always wonderful to see Guests return to us year after year for trusted advice, suggestions, and recommendations. Knowing you rely on our insight as you plan your visits truly means a lot.

For your upcoming stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, there are a few options for securing an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV). You’re welcome to bring your own mobility device, rent from Disney, rent from a third-party company, or arrange your rental through ScooterBug, which is the Disney Featured Provider. ScooterBug offers ECVs, wheelchairs, and strollers for single-day or length-of-stay rentals, and they work with Disney Resort Cast Members to coordinate delivery and pickup. This means if you rent from ScooterBug, you won’t need to be present for drop-off or return, everything can be handled through Bell Services. A huge win! If you do a quick Google search and end up choosing another rental company, you may need to meet them in person at a set time for both delivery and collection.

If you have concerns about battery performance, I recommend contacting ScooterBug before reserving. Their team can walk you through best practices for charging and care, and many Guests find that keeping the ECV plugged in overnight inside their resort room helps maintain a full charge for the day ahead.

David, don’t forget that Disney World offers complimentary transportation that is designed to accommodate Guests using wheelchairs and ECVs. Whether you’re traveling by bus, monorail, or Disney Skyliner, most transportation vehicles are equipped with ramps or lifts and designated spaces to secure mobility devices during your journey. If you plan to use water transportation, such as ferries or water taxis, many of these vessels are also accessible, although access may vary depending on water levels and dock configurations. Cast Members are always available to assist with boarding and securing your device, making it easier to travel between your resort, theme parks, and other destinations throughout your stay.

If you have any other questions, I’d be happy to assist with the rest of your planning too, whether that’s finding dining locations you’ll love, deciding which attractions to prioritize with Lightning Lane selections, making the most of Rider Switch, or anything else that will help make your September visit smooth and enjoyable.

    See you real soon!
