    I am looking into redeeming Airmiles points for 2 adult 5day base tickets.We are only planning on spending 2 days in Disney-will I be able to upgrade these tickets to no expiration once we arrive @ the park,so the remaining 3 could be carried over?

    Great Question, I actually was able to do this with American Express points and we did upgrade and pay for the no expiration option.  If the tickets say, complimentary or have no monetary value it may be an issue.  It's a tough call, I would ask the airline that you are redeeming the miles if it will be a regular ticket or a voucher.  It's really really important because if it can't be upgraded you are wasting valuable miles.  The milage program must have full disclosure, so I would recommend asking.  Good luck.
