Looking for recommendations for great dinner options for a family of 3 (our son is 10). We are not gourmet eaters. Reasonably priced, simple sit-down options with good food and service in each of the 4 parks. We'll be there in 35 days. Can't wait!

    Jessica:

I think you are living my dream vacation: over a month at Disney World! Here are my picks for y'all in each park:

    • Magic Kingdom: The Plaza Restaurant serves up some of the freshest sandwiches and salads on property and desserts that an entire table can share. The cheery restaurant is well-lit and provides a respite from the hustle of the park outside its doors.
    • Epcot: Biergarten is my go-to recommendation if you're looking for meat-and-potatoes fare that is appealing, plus you get the bonus of the Oktoberfest show at one of the least expensive table-service restaurants in the park. Although not considered a table-service restaurant, Tangierine Cafe in the Morocco Pavilion makes me think that I'm enjoying a higher caliber establishment while dining al fresco. But if tasty falafels and hummus are considered gourmet in your family, stick with Biergarten.
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios: This is the park for American fare. You'll find Sci-Fi Dinner Theatre more economically-priced than the other table-service restaurants but you can't label the dining experience as simple. Sit back and enjoy an old sci-fi movie clip with your burger and shake.
    • Animal Kingdom: Rain Forest Cafe at its entrance offers a huge menu of favorites, and your son is still old enough to enjoy the "animatronics" of moving jungle animals. It's the most economical of this park's table service restaurants. A quick-service option with ample portions and reliable taste is Flame Tree Barbecue. Choose a table by the "river" for a quiet meal.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
