Bonjour, Colleen! It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that I welcome you to planDisney.
With the stunning Christmas decor, twinkling lights and extra pixie dust in the air, I can't imagine a more magical and festive place to spend Christmas Day than Walt Disney World Resort. And with the seemingly endless list of fantastic dining experiences, there is no better place to enjoy Christmas dinner. Food and Disney are my two favorite topics, so let's get to it!
No park ticket on Christmas Day? No problem! If you're looking for some down-home food options, you can absolutely find fantastic ones at the Resorts and Disney Springs. First, I must recommend
Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. Despite the name, no one is whispering at this fun and lively restaurant. The vibe is casual and family-friendly, and the all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets are absolutely scrumptious and perfect for a Christmas feast. Plus, the Christmas tree and decorations at Wilderness Lodge are my favorite in all of Walt Disney World! That tree will take your breath away.
If you want some delicious Italian food at the Resorts, look no further than
Trattoria al Forno at Disney's BoardWalk Inn. This is one of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World. The vibe is so cozy, they can accommodate larger parties, and the food is comforting and delicious. Plus, after dinner, you can enjoy some dessert and entertainment as you stroll along the BoardWalk!
My two favorite restaurants at Disney Springs are
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' and
The Boathouse. While the vibe at The Boathouse is a little more upscale than the down-home feel of Homecomin', both are family-friendly, and the food at both can't be beaten. And if you're in the mood for Italian food at Disney Springs, you can find it at
Terralina Crafted Italian and
Maria & Enzo's Ristorante. Check out the menus on the restaurants' websites to see which one you prefer.
If you want to celebrate Christmas Day with your favorite Disney pals (and some incredible food), I recommend one of the fabulous character meals at the Resorts. My very favorite is
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White at Wilderness Lodge. This restaurant and every course of this incredible meal are themed to perfection, the characters are so fun, and again, you can't beat the Christmas vibes at this Resort. But I also love the buffets and characters at
1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian and
Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. I'm not sure how you will ever choose, but I do know you can't go wrong with any of these options. Bon appétit!
I hope this helps, Colleen, and I hope you have the merriest time. Please stop by any time with any questions you have. Put our service to the test!
Be our guest,
Mandy
