Hello. We are looking to rebook for July 2021. Our WDW tickets are extended and were already linked on MDE. If we book park days thru new system but holiday doesn't go ahead - are tickets taken as used or can we still cancel and get refund? Thanks

Hello there Caroline! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's great to see you here again with another vacation planning question. I'd be happy to assist you today.

It feels like I'm on the wildest ride in the wilderness with all of the new information flying around regarding the reopening of Walt Disney World. Hold on to your hats and glasses while I help you steer you in the right direction!

As we await the debut and final details of the new Disney Park Pass System, I do know that your tickets will not be considered "used" by reserving your day in a theme park. Theme park admission is only redeemed by scanning a ticket or MagicBand at a theme park entrance. Think of the new system the way you previously reserved FastPass+ attractions in advance of a visit, but instead of securing a ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, you are booking a day at the Magic Kingdom Park. If your travel plans happen to change, know that you are still subject to the cancellation policies and fees that are in place based on the ticket and vacation package you purchased.

I hope that clears some of the tumbleweeds out of the way and helps you see the frontier a little clearer as you continue to think about your summer holiday plans. Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog for the latest happenings in the Disney Parks, and if there is anything else we can do as your adventure approaches, please stop by and see us again.

    Wishing you a magical visit,
