Hi Kristin!
Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!
Arrival day can be tricky to navigate if you're not planning to visit the parks but still want to explore and do something 'fun!'
As you may already know, there is no "resort to resort" transportation, so in order to explore another resort for dinner, you'll need to first get to a location from which you can access the many other WDW resort hotels. Your best plan would be to jump on the POR boat to Downtown Disney and once you've arrived there, proceed out to the bus depot and head to the resort of your choice!
Coronado Springs would be a great resort location to try out for dinner! Their
Pepper Market features a Chef's Station featuring Southwestern favourites as well as plenty of standard fare from burgers and sandwiches to pizza and pasta.
Without venturing too far by bus, Caribbean Beach Resort is another excellent, quick service option. The
Old Port Royale Food Court features a vast array of choices ranging from the usual fare to the Bridgetown Broiler, featuring fish and roasted meats accompanied by rice, black beans or even plantain! A true taste of the Caribbean! After dining, taste a leisurely stroll around the beautiful grounds.
Another interesting place to consider is right in the heart of all the action! Venture on up to the Contemporary Resort's
Contempo Cafe. Here, you can enjoy flatbreads, tossed-to-order gourmet salads, hot & cold sandwiches, pasta & burgers, all whilst the monorail comes and goes just above you!
I hope these options appeal to you Kristin.
Wishing you a Magical time at Walt Disney World!
Kirsten
